I bought this album when it came out back in 1986 and totally loved it. WITOY was my favourite track and the reason I bought the album. This is the LNTG Rework of the track by Late Nite Tuff Guy.

I'm dedicating this post to my friend Sheena with fond memories of walking Scotland's West Highland Way with her in 1986 and completely doing her head in by singing this for the whole 95 miles.

Janet Jackson: Got 'Til It's Gone ft. Q-Tip & Joni Mitchell

I came across this video today for Janet Jackson's 1997 single "Got 'Til It's Gone" from her brilliant Velvet Rope album - this was Janet at her absolute peak. It wasn't given a full commercial release in the US for some reason, but made the UK top 10. The track features a sample of Joni Mitchell's "Big Yellow Taxi", and the video - portraying Janet as a lounge singer in Apartheid South Africa - was directed by Mark Romanek.

Janet Jackson: Tonight's The Night

Janet's cover of the Rod Stewart song "Tonight's The Night" from her 1997 album The Velvet Rope has her singing to another woman, and the first line suggests this may even be a threesome. I loved this album when it came out and I still think it may be her best.

Change: The Glow of Love ft. Luther Vandross / Janet Jackson: All For You

Change released The Glow Of Love album in 1980 and it featured the title track sung by Luther Vandross who at that time hadn't yet secured a solo recording contract. I love it for that wonderful Chic-esque intro which was heavily sampled onto Janet Jackson's "All For You" which I've also posted below.
