So in honour and memory of the late Frankie Knuckles I'm going to post a few of his tracks and remixes. Let's kick off with another track from the Donna Summer remix album Love To Love You Donna. This is the Frankie Knuckles & Eric Kupper's Director's Cut Mix of "Hot Stuff".

Donna Summer - Love To Love You Baby (Giorgio Moroder Remix) ft. Chris Cox

A decade before Madonna Ciccone ruled as queen of pop, we all genuflected at the hem of reigning disco empress LaDonna Gaines (you may know her better as one Donna Summer). "Love To Love You Baby" was her 1975 breakout hit reaching number 2 in the US and number 4 in the UK. It was written by Summer with Giorgio Moroder and Pete Bellotte, with the latter also producing the track. In 2013 Moroder contributed a remix of the track to the compilation album of Summer remixes Love To Love You Donna. Moroder hasn't lost his touch. This posting is for my friend @notcosi.

Gigamesh masterfully turn Donna Summer's disco fabulous "Bad Girls" into something sounding quite different to the original, though every bit as tooty and beepy.

I was in San Francisco in 2012 after Donna had died and we came across a little shrine in The Castro... so forgiving!
