Otis Redding & Carla Thomas - Tramp (RLP Re-Touched)

I fell in love with this track when I first heard it many years ago now - it always leaves me with a smile on my face. This is the RLP Re-Touch which is highly respectful of the original version leaving the first minute and a half of the song pretty much intact before the RLP effect kicks in.

Gil Scott-Heron & Brian Jackson - The Bottle (RLP's Sober Re-vision)

RLP (Robert Levy-Provençal) gives us another rather exceptional re-vision, this time around it's of "The Bottle" - the 1974 track by Gil Scott-Heron and Brian Jackson.

The Cure: Lullaby / Lullaby (RLP 1989 Sky Mix)

This is such an incredible track - it never seems to age. It was their biggest charting single in the UK when it was released in 1989. And BTW if you thought 1989 was a good year for music (which it was) have a listen to the RLP 1989 Skymix of "Lullaby" below and see how much of it you recognise.

Marlena Shaw: California Soul / California Soul (RLP's Californicasoul Re-edit)

Much as I love and adore the original version of Marlena Shaw's "California Soul" (which I've posted further down the page) I currently can't stop playing the RLP re-edit which I've only just discovered. Give it a listen - you won't be disappointed.
