Dan Hartman & Loleatta Holloway: Vertigo / Relight My Fire

I posted Loleatta Holloway's "Love Sensation" the other day and mentioned that the writer and producer was Dan Hartman. That put me in the mood to play this 1979 classic by the same pair. Some of you may know the Take That / Lulu cover of this but the original is far superior. It really takes off at 3:00 minutes in but it's worth enjoying the build up to the "Relight My Fire" section.

Loleatta Holloway: Love Sensation / Black Box: Ride On Time

Time for another track from the fabulous Loleatta Holloway (who died in 2011). "Love Sensation" is a fantastic song written and produced by Dan Hartman of "Relight My Fire" fame.

Anyone who knows the 1980's hit song "Ride On Time" by Black Box will instantly recognise some of the vocals in this which were taken directly from Loleatta (and are mimed in the video by someone else as apparently Loleatta didn't look the part!) I've posted "Ride On Time" below so you can compare.
